Tile Game Timer

Set a per-player time budget, start the match, and tap “End turn” to pass the clock — with an optional increment added back each time.

Added to a player's clock after they end their turn (Fischer increment). Use 0 for a plain countdown.

Player clocks

Set a time budget and press Start to begin the match.

Running a timed match

Set the number of players and a starting time budget, then press Start. Only the active player’s clock counts down. When they finish their turn, pressing “End turn” stops their clock, adds back the increment you configured, and hands the clock to the next player in order.

An increment of a few seconds per turn is common for casual timed play — it keeps the game brisk without punishing a player for one slow turn. For a strict, no-increment countdown, set it to 0.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is a Fischer increment?

It's a small amount of time added back to a player's clock after every turn, on top of a starting budget. It keeps a match from grinding down to nothing in the endgame while still rewarding faster play — the same idea used on chess clocks.

Do I have to use an increment?

No — set it to 0 seconds for a plain countdown timer, where each player's clock only ever ticks down.

How many players can I time?

Up to six. Only the active player's clock counts down; pressing “End turn” stops their clock, applies the increment, and starts the next player's.

What happens when a player runs out of time?

Their clock shows 0:00 and is flagged. What that means for the match — a forfeited turn, a penalty, or the end of the game — is up to whatever rules your group or tournament is using; this tool just tracks the clock.

The timer runs in your browser tab; keep the tab open and awake during a match, since background tabs can be throttled by your device.
